WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW AND HAVE YOU ALWAYS LIVED THERE?
I’m in Los Angeles right now. I’ve lived in a few other cities for short periods of time for school and work, like New York, Seattle, and St. Louis.

WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND RAISED?
Born and raised in Los Angeles! Also known as the best city ever also known as my favorite place in the world.

WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR PRESENT CITY OR HOMETOWN?
Growing up I loved that L.A. was this eccentric playground. People are weird, artsy, wonderful and whatever they want. I love that I can do anything and be anything in L.A. And lately, that’s made me feel unbelievably happy, free, and full of love and really just so content with life.

WHAT WERE YOUR ASPIRATIONS GROWING UP?
Since I was 10 years old I’ve wanted to be a judge.

WHY HEALTH AND FITNESS?
I had a real sugar problem as a kid. My parents and doctors were surprised I didn’t have diabetes. I’ve been fortunate enough to grow out of that as I’ve gotten older, and it’s made me more mature about my health and fitness. I’m also into personal growth and I like to challenge myself. I think I have the kind of personality that makes eating healthy and working out fun instead of a chore.

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND TRAINING?
I like to be fit but extreme circuit workouts and classes just aren’t for me. I take a simple but effective approach so working out: an hour walking on a treadmill with a 15-30% incline, minimal weights for my arms and legs, and abs.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO RIGHT THIS YEAR?
Stop drinking soda! Fortunately I never liked soda, but if you want quick, easy, and effective results in your health stop drinking soda! Stop eating fast food, except for the occasional In-N-Out of course.

WHERE DO YOU FIND THE BEST WORKOUT GEAR AND APPAREL FITTING YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Cotton On and Forever 21 have workout sets that are super cute and comfy but aren’t ridiculously priced. I also like fun colors and street wear that I can wear outside the gym too.

WHAT BEAUTY ROUTINE DO YOU SWEAR BY?
I put lotion on after I get out of the shower every single day! And I try not to wear makeup if I don’t have to so my skin can breathe. Beauty comes from within too so I drink lots of water, try to get enough sleep, and exercise.

ANY HOBBIES?
I love curating my Instagram (follow me @RachelVins); watching a lot of TV; and playing board games.

HOW DO YOU UNWIND?
Netflix and chillin by myself (with wine and my puppy too).
